Many times custom trucks leave us shaking our heads. Not this one. The F-150 Tonka Truck will have you reminiscing about your childhood and yearning to take it for a drive. And you can at certain Ford dealerships.
Straight from your sand box to real life, Tuscany, an automotive custom shop in Elkhart, IN, brings your this bright yellow F-150 Tonka Truck. It is a true project truck with tons of accessories and coolness to boot!
Mike Graber told the local TV station, WNDU.com that:
“We want it to be more aggressive,” Graber explained. ”What we have to do first is raise the body, we raise it 6 inches, that allows us to give it an aggressive off road stance. Which also allows us to put larger wheels and tires on it, and then we put step bars and cladding, cladding kind of makes the truck look a little wider. We put wide fender flares, fender flares also make it a more aggressive stance, we change how ford does their grill application in the front, we change the hood, we put a taller hood on it.”
They accomplished their goal and this truck really shows off the custom work. They also added a rear dual exhaust, Tonneau cover and carpeted bed. On the inside, custom head rests, floor mats and Tonka badges await the driver and passengers.
Graber also said:
“It is an iconic color, it is truly the Tonka color,” he said. “When this vehicle drives down the road you can't miss it.”
Check. This truck drives down our neighbor hood and we won't miss it!
The plan is to build 500 of the 2013 trucks and 500 2014 models. They will be distributed to dealers around the U.S. and will be sold for around $60-70k.
What do you think, cool or not cool?
