  Valve lifters play an important role in your engine by allowing the motion of the cam lobes to transfer to the valves, thereby opening and closing them. Over time, this part can wear down and cause your engine to idle rough, have an improper air/fuel ratio and cause tapping sounds. Worn valve lifters can also lead to reduced performance and reduced fuel economy.

  These OEM Ford/Lincoln Valve Lifters (part # 5L1Z- 6500-A) are made to Ford’s exact factory specifications and are guaranteed to fit. They are warrantied for 12 months or 12,000 miles. When you replace the valve lifters on your Ford or Lincoln, you can expect a quieter engine idle and a proper air/fuel ratio giving you improved fuel economy.

  These valve lifters fit many Ford and Lincoln models, including Expedition, Explorer, Sport Trac, Mustang, Crown Victoria, F-150, F-250, F-350, most Ford vans. They also fit the Lincoln Navigator and Mark LT. They’re used used on many non-turbocharged Ford and Lincoln engines - the 4.6L, 5.4L Triton V8 and V10.   Valve lifter replacement can be done with the right tools and knowledge. Remove the valve cover, clean off the manifold gasket, and then replace the old valves with the new ones.
