Everybody knows the Ford Raptor is THE off-road truck to own. But, how exactly do you drive it to its potential. You go to the Ford Racing Raptor driving school at Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele, UT.
Ford has built the park in the hopes you will come out and drive its Ford Raptor. Ok. Sign us up!
The park has many different ways to experience the Raptor. The first option maybe to simply ride as a guest in a Raptor alongside Ford drivers. If that doesn't sound like fun, you could decide to spend $300 for a three-hour program or $1,395 for the one-day school (note: Ford Raptor owners are eligible for discounts). The one-day school sounds like a blast since it includes "hot laps with professional drivers and time on all three of the facility's off-road courses," according to AutomobileMag.com.
Speaking of the "facilities" this off-road dream course includes:
- Eight-acre rock-crawling course
- 22-acre area for high-speed off-roading
- 900-acre desert-racing course
The Ford Raptor is built for this type of track with its industry leading off-road setup. It comes with off-road wheels and tires, a locking rear differential and special Fox Racing off-road suspension components. Put all of these features on an F-150 with a 6.2-liter V-8 engine, six-speed automatic transmission and four-wheel drive, you have a off-road machine. Granted you have to pay for it though, the 2013 Raptor starts at $44,335.
Which program would you go with: the ride around, three-hour session or the one-day school? Each one is an experience of a lifetime!
