OEM Part Info - Hub
Keeping your Ford running is your job. In order to do that, you must do routine maintenance schedules. One of the routine things you should be doing is rotating your tires. When you rotate your tires, you need to take a moment and inspect the hubs on your vehicle. The hubs are what hold the tires on the vehicle. The axle is mounted in the hubs, and the inside of the hubs contain bearings and grease. These bearings provide a cushion for your wheels to ride on. This keeps the ride smooth. The hub is also where disc brakes are attached. If the hub is damaged and it is leaking, the loss of lubrication will eventually result in damage to the axle or the wheel. If you have hit a pot hole particularly hard, you will need to inspect the hub for damage.
Normally, the hub will last a long time and may never need to be changed, but if you do find that you need to change it, use only genuine OEM Ford factory parts. These parts are designed specifically for your vehicle.
